Sr. DevOps Engineer to enable solutions on cloud systems administration for our Pensions Client


Location: Downtown Toronto (2 Days in Office)


The IT Investment Solutions Group is looking for a highly skilled individual to fill a fulltime senior DevOps Engineer role for our IT for Investments Infrastructure team. This role focus on cloud system administration enabling solutions holistically supporting Investment, Finance and Risk Management groups.


Must Have Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations and/or Software Development with a focus on system administration and automation
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure Cloud Platform and Snowflake, with hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • In-Depth knowledge and experience with CI/CD and IT automation tools and practices (e.g., Azure DevOps, AWS Code Pipeline/CodeCommit/CodeDeploy, Artifactory etc.)
  • In-depth conceptual knowledge and practical hands-on expertise in Cloud based, serverless and microservice based architecture, cloud infrastructure and technologies, scripting and IaC tools (JSON, YAML, Python, PowerShell, Node.js, Terraform, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, Domain Controller/Active Directory, data protection strategies, with expertise in implementing best practices for securing cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile practices such as Scrum or Kanban, MVP, etc.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience working with IT operational processes (e.g., incident management, identity and access management, logging and monitoring, security etc.) and deep knowledge of monitoring tools (such as CloudWatch, DataDog, Splunk, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate,
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
  • or Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification.
