Our valued client is actively seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to implement CI/CD pipelines for various software and mobile development teams.

Initial 9-month contract with possible extension, hybrid in downtown Montreal or Toronto (3 days/week remote, 2 days/week onsite).

Responsibilties:

• Perform code reviews, design, and implement the most complex features across multiple development and operations platform ecosystems (DevOps).
• Guide and influence development teams on development and operations (DevOps) solutions and best practices.
• Lead and conduct root cause analysis of critical issues related to business activities and the production platform.
• Provide expertise to software development teams, review and approve resulting action plans (e.g., lead the development/execution and prioritization of the product backlog), and oversee implementation (collaborating with software engineering teams to define priorities).
• Lead the development of requirements, assess architectural risks (i.e., impact and likelihood) on the overall solution, and provide alternative options for possible solutions.
• Provide high-level estimations for preliminary project planning.
• Lead and review design artifacts and proofs of concept for large-scale, complex platform initiatives.
• Interpret security policies and ensure platform design aligns with security guidelines.
• Ensure observability, best practices, and key performance indicators are implemented in solutions; provide platform support to help software development teams maximize business value.
• Implement high-availability solutions with multi-level recovery capabilities, such as disaster recovery, data recovery, and data backups.
• Manage issues to explore opportunities for iterating on solutions and minimizing impacts.
• Provide technical guidance to software development teams to ensure smoother and more frequent deployments in the future.tc.).

Must-haves:

• 6+ years experience in Devops engineering
• Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, ArgoCD, GitLab CI
• Code quality and security tools: SonarQube, NexusIQ, Polaris
• Infrastructure and orchestration tools: Kubernetes, Terraform
• Management and monitoring tools: HashiCorp Vault, DataDog

Nice-to-haves:

• French communication skills
