Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days in-office minimum; additional occasional/or regular in-office days may be required to support your team.

You have excellent strategic thinking, a strong foundation in software architecture, and you understand the logic behind how things work. As the Machine Learning Development Manager, Generative AI, you will lead a small team of developers dedicated to productionizing and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions. You will work closely with our AI & ML team to integrate these solutions into our flagship products, such as MobiControl and XSight, ensuring seamless functionality and scalability. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to drive innovation and deliver high-impact solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Take a holistic, long-term view and build the capability of the organization to build great products

• Lead the integration and deployment of Gen AI solutions into our main products, ensuring alignment with business goals.

• Oversee the productionization of AI models, including the implementation of MLOps practices to streamline the AI development lifecycle.

• Help the teams and the ScrumMaster with removing obstacles, making improvements, and applying Scrum principles within the team

• Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of developers focused on the deployment and integration of AI solutions. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment

• Teach teams how to improve and solve problems

• Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of AI models and algorithms, ensuring they meet product requirements and performance standards.

• Collaborate with AI/ML scientists to integrate generative AI solutions into SOTI's main products (MobiControl, XSight, etc.), ensuring smooth and efficient deployment.

• Facilitate and encourage “best-practices” sharing throughout the organization

Experience You’ll Bring

• Excellent strategic and logical thinking, ability to understand the logic behind software development processes

• Proven experience in MLOps, ML engineering, DevOps, and software architecture, with a track record of successful AI solution deployment.

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing development teams

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on AI/ML

• Proven experience in deploying and integrating AI/ML solutions, particularly generative AI, into large-scale products

• Strong understanding of professional software development practices & best practices for the full software development lifecycle; Knowledge of commonly used development tools and technologies

• Positive and can-do attitude, inspiring optimism, and determination among the team; drive for excellence

• Proven ability to drive results and meet ambitious targets, while maintaining a supportive and nurturing team culture

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach challenges with a proactive and innovative mindset

• Analytical rigor and solid process management

• Desire to groom and develop high potential talent into leadership roles within Product Development

• Ability to attract talent by leveraging your vast network and showcase SOTI at various recruitment events
