Description
UFP Canada is one of the country's largest manufacturers and suppliers of industrial packaging products, specialty lumber, building materials and mesh. We are a growing essential company and we are looking for an Electromechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance work, diagnose and resolve pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems. As an Electromechanic, you will have a vital role in the maintenance and repair of our equipment and machines by performing a variety of maintenance work to prevent breakdowns, extend the life of our equipment, minimize downtime and optimize the overall performance of our production.
Job Type: Day and Evening, Permanent, Full Time
Daytime schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday from 6 pm to 4:30 am
Salary: To be discussed, depending on experience; $23.31 - $34.00
Evening bonus: $3/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support daily production by carrying out diagnostics (shooting problems) in order to reduce downtime;
- Perform various preventive maintenance tasks such as inspections and servicing;
- Complete corrective repair work such as identifying, isolating, repairing and restoring equipment, machinery or systems to operating condition;
- Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring or assembly boxes using rivets, bolts, welding or micro-welding equipment;
- Read and interpret plans, work orders and reports to determine material requirements and assembly methods;
- Fabricate, repair, or form parts, coils, or structures to specifications, using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws;
- Adjust, repair or replace electrical or electronic components to correct defects and ensure compliance with specifications;
- Carry out welding and general maintenance work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a DEP/DEC in electromechanics;
- Hold a certificate in electricity - license C, or in the process of obtaining it (an asset);
- At least 1 year of experience as an electromechanic;
- Knowledge of Autocad, Solidworks, Rockwell, AllenBradley, Scheider and Yaskawa software (an asset);
- Be bilingual (an asset).
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent ability to make decisions, solve problems and establish priorities;
- Demonstrate a strong ability to take initiative and communicate exceptionally;
- Strong ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience in personnel management (an asset).
- Ability to rotate shifts.
