Description
UFP Canada is one of the country's largest manufacturers and suppliers of industrial packaging products, specialty lumber, building materials and mesh. We are a growing essential company and we are looking for a Mechanic to perform mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic work. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining our equipment and machinery by performing inspections, maintenance and repairs to prevent breakdowns, extend the life of our equipment, minimize downtime and optimize the overall performance of our production.
Job Type: Day and Evening, Permanent, Full Time
Daytime schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Salary : Starting at $24/hour, depending on experience
Evening bonus: $3/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform various preventive maintenance tasks such as inspections and servicing;
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs;
- Perform mechanical assemblies, modification projects or equipment construction;
- Grinding, cutting, polishing or bending parts to ensure proper fit;
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts as necessary;
- Clean and lubricate various parts of equipment;
- Perform welding and general maintenance work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- DEP/DEC in industrial mechanics;
- At least 1 year of experience as an industrial mechanic;
- Spoken French;
- Spoken English (an asset);
- Own a toolbox.

- Demonstrate a strong ability to take initiative and communicate effectively;
- Strong ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and versatility;
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to rotate shifts.
