IT Team Leader

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As an IT Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the IT team while ensuring exceptional service delivery across the organization. Based in the Montreal support office, you will be part of a bilingual team and support a diverse user base across Canada and the United States. Your leadership will foster efficiency, collaboration, and innovation in IT operations, in alignment with the organization's goals and values.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the primary contact between the Montreal support office and national IT.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, software deployments and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address IT support needs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's IT policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ensure systems are secure, up-to-date and optimized for performance.
  • Ensure the rapid resolution of IT incidents and service requests.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Lead the implementation of IT solutions and updates.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and customer satisfaction indicators.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure their alignment with deadlines and budgets.
  • Provide hands-on technical support when needed.
  • Provide regular updates to the National IT Operations Director.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Supervise and coach a team of IT professionals.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • University or college degree in computer science, information technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years of experience in IT support and operations.
  • 2 years of experience in team management or leadership.
  • Fluency in English is essential for this role and bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • IT Infrastructure and Networking - Solid knowledge of network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, servers and cloud solutions.
  • Systems Administration - Experience with Windows and MacOS environments, including Active Directory, Azure and M365.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM) - Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, ticketing systems and incident management. Cloud Computing Knowledge - Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud for system deployment and management.
  • Software and Application Support - Ability to troubleshoot and support enterprise applications and SaaS platforms.
  • Security Protocols - Knowledge of security protocols and best practices
  • Remote Support Tools - Knowledge of ITSM platforms, ticketing systems and remote support tools.
