About the Opportunity
The Network Specialist will be an integral member of the national team. Based in Vancouver, the successful candidate will manage and maintain the network and its components, supporting various systems across the firm’s services. While the position is primarily remote, office hoteling spaces will be available, and occasional travel to the Vancouver or Surrey offices may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the networking team to develop and deliver data, voice, and video systems across offices, data centers, and cloud environments.
- Optimize and configure MS Azure networking, firewalls, and management groups.
- Lead the transformation of network and security architecture from on-premise to cloud-based solutions.
- Administer and maintain routers, firewalls, BGP network, OSPF network, perimeter safety devices, and network monitoring systems.
- Manage DNS, SSL certificates, and network trust relationships.
- Administer VPN and multi-factor authentication environments.
- Configure conditional access and risk-based authentication policies.
- Ensure network and power redundancy for optimal operations.
- Administer Wi-Fi components, including design and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist / Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification.
- Fortinet Certified Expert / Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification (preferred).
- Expertise in Enterprise Network Architecture, BGP, OSPF, QoS, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi in a high-availability environment.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and supporting voice, video, and data network systems.
- Experience with deploying computer security systems and high-availability networks.
- Strong technical knowledge of LAN/WAN, switches, routing protocols, firewalls, VPN, wireless networks, DNS, DHCP, WAF, monitoring devices, and network security.
- Skilled in configuring, managing, and monitoring routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Experience managing technology development projects.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) for implementation, support, and maintenance.
