Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health Economics and Market Access Manager, Surgery to join our Scientific Excellence, Health Economics Market Access and Commercial & Professional Education (SHAPE) team in Canada. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategies that drive market access and demonstrate the value of our surgery technologies to payers, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive health economics and market access strategies for surgery products.
  • Conduct health economic analyses, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact modeling, to support product value propositions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, sales, strategic customer group and regulatory affairs, to align pricing and access strategies with business objectives.
  • Engage with payers, health technology assessment organizations, and healthcare providers to communicate the economic value and clinical effectiveness of our products.
  • Prepare and present value dossiers, payer presentations, and other materials to support market access initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting market access in Canada.
  • Drive insights to support integrated evidence generation and dissemination strategies that support approvals, adoption, claims development and life cycle management
  • Lead and manage external partnerships with consultants and research organizations to support economic studies and data generation.
  • Contribute to the development of publications and presentations that highlight the value of our surgery solutions.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy, or related field; PhD or equivalent is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health economics, market access, or related roles within the medical technology or pharma industry is required.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare systems, reimbursement processes, and health technology assessment frameworks is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in economic modeling, statistical analysis, and clinical data interpretation is required.
  • Proficiency in software tools for economic modeling and data analysis (e.g., Excel, SAS, R) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex economic concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership required.
  • Flexible self-starter with excellent networking and team building capabilities required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • 10% travel domestic and cross-border
