Global Communications Consultant, Winning Team and Culture Communications

Overview: The Communications Consultant, Global Winning Team and Culture Communications, is a motivated and detail-oriented person with a passion for enhancing colleague engagement and reinforcing our unique corporate culture. The role is integral to the Winning Team and Culture Communications team, supporting the execution of Global HR communications and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Global HR & Communications (HRC) Efforts: Assist in developing and executing global integrated communication plans and collaborate closely with team members across our Global Communications team to bring initiatives to life.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with HR areas (Global Culture, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Learning, DEI, Employee Experience and Total Rewards) teams to support their communication needs and annual strategies.
  • Program Communications: Assist in managing communications for annual programs and ad hoc projects (i.e. Global Engagement Survey, Talent Review cycles, Recognition Programs, Benefits Enrollment, DEI campaigns and monthly Fuel Up Friday Learning Communication)
  • Event Support: Provide logistical and content support for major HRC-wide communications initiatives and events, including Town Halls, CHRO messages, leadership sessions, and annual conferences.
  • Data and Reporting: Assist in creating reports on the impact of communications initiatives, reviewing tactic analytics against benchmarks, and providing insights for future improvements.
  • Newsletter Development: Facilitation and orchestration of content curation, editing and executing a monthly global leader newsletter ensuring that all key events, strategic initiatives and need-to-knows are highlighted.
  • Communication Portfolio Logistics: Coordinating the logistics of Global Communications distribution, including but not limited to; translation, email layout, testing and dissemination, scheduling of internal articles, administrative management of integrated communications plans and managing creation of creative assets.

Qualifications:

  • Education: University degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive work experience in communications, preferably with some exposure to human resources or change management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in communication media such as email, presentations, videos, and articles.
    • Basic project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to interact confidently with various levels of the organization.
    • Motivated self-starter with a creative and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at Manulife or in a Communications/HR/Events role.
  • Familiarity with tools like Staffbase and the Microsoft 365 suite.

    Salary range is expected to be between

    $67,275.00 CAD - $112,125.00 CAD
