Description
Manulife Investment Management is seeking a Manager, Consultant Relations, to work within the Consultant Relations Team. The individual will work closely with the Head of Consultant Relations, Canada and will help oversee the development and execution of the consultant relations strategy. The individual will work closely with the existing consultant relations, institutional sales and relationship management teams. The individual will support driving ratings and new business for our institutional investment management business with a focus on the consultant market.
The role will require leveraging resources across Canadian and Global WAM to deliver the expected outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
Primary internal/home office contact and liaison to the wider Manulife Investment Management enterprise with a focus on consultant deliverables
Prepare consultant meeting materials, oversee RFI/RFP’s and ad hoc consultant information requests. Work closely with other team members on relevant prospective consultant requests
Monitor status and success of Requests for Proposal and Due Diligence Questionnaires
Engage new consulting firms and work with existing consultant team to achieve capital raising objectives
Maintain responsibility for business channel knowledge, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for the channel and periodic reporting of KPIs, business pipeline and progress to plan.
As needed, facilitate consultant meetings, both onsite and in the field
Participate in team projects to enhance best practice execution
Develop, and maintain strong and trusting relationships with MIM’s investment, marketing, sales, client service, compliance, legal and operations professionals
Ensure that communication and brand building support the mission, values and culture of Manulife Investment Management.
Occasional travel, less than 5%
Qualifications:
Functional knowledge of capital markets
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to package and deliver information in a client-friendly manner
Ability to work independently
Curiosity and problem-solving ability
Team attitude
Progress towards professional designations or continuing education a plus (CFA, CIMA, MBA, MSF)
Relevant industry experience in the asset management industry, eight years minimum preferred
Relevant experience in a client relations or sales environment
Understanding of sales and marketing process

Salary range is expected to be between
$86,250.00 CAD - $155,250.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
