Senior Release Train Engineer, Affinity Technology

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure business outcomes and delivery goals are achieved.

  • Manage and optimize the flow of work through the program and facilitates Agile Release Train synchronization.

  • Set program increment objectives, and assists with execution, tracking, and completion.

  • Report and present plans, status updates and decisions or assistance needed to mitigate delays.

  • Manage, track, and resolve impediments.

  • Coach team in Agile and SAFe standards with continue improvement in mind.

  • Continuously improve team processes and collaboration by promoting a culture of commitment, focus, openness and respect.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years+ experience as a Release Train Engineer in relevant business/verticals.

  • SAFe/Agile certification preferred.

  • JIRA expertise.

Preferred:

  • Strong grasp of Agile methods, budgeting, and management tools; and in the SAFe framework.

  • Proven Experience tracking, interpreting, and actioning Agile metrics.

  • Ability to coach others and facilitate collaboration in a way that is focused on team growth.

  • Strong Experience with dependency, release, and risk management.

  • Background in CI/CD methods, DevSecOps, and systems & solution architecture.

  • Understands methods for value realization.

  • Servant leader philosophy.

How will you contribute?

Partner with engineering, business and operations teams to craft and implement cross-platform solutions to support our customers insurance needs and the partners selling our products.

  • Architectural design of complex software components, issue, and solution considerations; apply industry processes to create scalable and secure solutions that have superior technical performance.

  • Partner with product collaborators to help influence priorities while leading the technical solutions.

  • Complete gap analysis of current solution design, evaluate future needs and develop proof of concepts.

  • Cost/benefit analysis of solutions considering technology, risks, scope, cost, quality, time, and resources.

  • Measure critical metrics, understand their value, and use the results to continuously improve both the ecosystem and the technical solutions.

  • Work across teams setting guidelines and clarifying outcomes.

Salary range is expected to be between

$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
