ServiceNow Solutions Engineer

The Opportunity

As a ServiceNow Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for the strategic design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across our organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and effective ServiceNow architectures. This role requires a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Office location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Work arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from Home); Remote option is not available.

Technical Expertise:

  • Extensive experience with the ServiceNow platform, including custom application development and integration.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages used within ServiceNow, such as JavaScript, GlideScript, and AngularJS.

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and other relevant applications.

  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.

  • Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling, including experience with MySQL or similar databases.

  • Expertise in ServiceNow's Flow Designer and Workflow capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of complex ServiceNow solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical designs.

  • Implement ServiceNow configurations and customizations, ensuring best practices and performance optimization.

  • Mentor and guide junior developers and team members on ServiceNow development and best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities and provide recommendations for improvements.

Project Management:

  • Experience in managing projects or leading development efforts within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Role Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Certifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is highly preferred.

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications are highly desirable.

  • ITIL Foundation certification is beneficial.

Experience:

  • Minimum of [5+] years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or equivalent role.

  • Proven track record of implementing and managing complex ServiceNow solutions in a large-scale environment.

Professional Qualities:

  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in mentoring and guiding team members.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Salary range is expected to be between

$75,880.00 CAD - $140,920.00 CAD
