Story Behind the Need

Business group: Global Cash, Collateral and Intraday Management

Intraday Liquidity Management is of strategic importance to the Bank. The initiative to develop intraday liquidity forecasting will significantly enhance SCUSA's capabilities, aligning the organization with industry best practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance. The incumbent will be responsible for closely collaborating with settlement groups to comprehend the securities settlement process, depository cash flows, and their impact on intraday cash forecasting. Additionally, the incumbent will focus on working with the IT team on developing a new system feed. Key responsibilities will include effectively communicating business requirements to the IT department, conducting testing, and identifying gaps and potential enhancements.

Project: SCI- Gap assessment, identify current state of cash management functions, provide suggestion on how to implement the cash management functions in Toronto.

Responsibilities:

-Perform current state analysis on The Bank's broker dealer cash management function and prepare gap analysis

-Prepare recommendations for future state of cash management function

-Implement the evolving local enhancement cash and intraday liquidity management processes for entities and businesses in scope.

-Must have strong understanding of nostros, payment flows and accounting for cash transactions

-Strong understanding of cash flows for financial products

-Identify business lines sources and uses of cash within the entity

-Work with finance and system teams to identify opportunities for improvement in the cash management function

-Review FTP practices within the entity

-Represent Cash/Intraday Liquidity Management Team on new projects and change management through effective interaction with board range of stakeholders.

-Work with head office on new initiatives.

/Must Have Skills:

5-8 years of experience in Cash Management roles

5-8 years of experience performing current state analysis on broker dealer cash management function

5-8 years of experience in gap analysis in current processes and make recommendations for future state

3-4 years of experience identifying business lines sources and uses cash within the entity

3-4 years of experience in financial accounting and cash flows for financial products

\Nice-To-Have Skills:

-Must have strong understanding of nostros, payment flows, accounting for cash transactions

- Work with finance and system teams to identify system enhancements needed

-Review FTP practices within the entity

Strong excel skills and familiarity with Power BI

• Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences.

Education:

-Degree in Mathematics, Finance & Business or Accounting.

-MBA/CPA/CFA/FRM are considered assets but not required.
