Our valued public sector client is hiring One (1) Senior and One (1) Intermediate Programmer Analyst to develop and test computer adaptive assessment for a selection assessment tool.

Background:

The organization is in the process of developing new assessment or testing capabilities for each component of it's selection model (cognitive, personality, and person-job/organization fit). Of relevance to this requirement is the cognitive component. The organization has conducted significant R&D in the design of a computer adaptive cognitive assessment, programmed primarily in R-code, based on a hybrid multi-stage Item Response Theory (IRT) model, for deployment via the IT delivery platform. This requirement pertains to quality assurance testing of the assessment, further programming or modification of initial test specifications, monitoring to ensure effective functionality, and feasibility assessments pertaining to its further modification.

Tasks:

• Develop, modify, or evaluate a computer adaptive assessment of cognitive ability, and or support the development of other types of cognitive assessments (e.g. gamification of an existing assessment, working memory).
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the developed assessments for quality assurance, compliance with psychometric best practices, and/or alignment with modern human resources practices.
• Provide guidance to support the effective development, deployment, and functional evaluation of a computer adaptive cognitive assessment, based on the organization’s IT platform, the psychometric requirements of the assessment, and available programming options.

Must Haves:

• Statistical Programming (R, or Python, or SAS, or Matlab, or SQL, etc.) - 5+ years
• Psychology, Sociology, or Education (PhD or Master or Bachelor)
