Description
In this position, you will have the opportunity to :
- Coordinate and implement various health and safety projects targeted within the strategic and operational plan.
- Continue the deployment of the prevention program, provide the required support, ensure follow-up and audit the program to ensure compliance.
- Act as a mobilizing change agent within the organization with respect to OHS activities.
- Be responsible for the Health and Safety Committee and participate in the implementation of committee activities.
- Coordinate the accident investigation and analysis process to identify root causes, corrective actions and follow-ups
- Support risk and ergonomic analyses, according to established priorities
- Manage the various protective equipment related to the respiratory protection program (allocation, training, replacement).
- Coordinate the health and safety training process
- Take an active part in welcoming new employees.
With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:
- DEC, Occupational Health and Safety or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or any other training deemed relevant
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' practical and applied experience as a health and safety specialist in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Very good knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and standards
- Ability to communicate and popularize information
- Demonstrates leadership in day-to-day work and has strong influencing skills
- Autonomy, the candidate is able to take charge of complete projects and ensure their follow-up
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Ability to create and maintain good relations with employees
